Maine’s First Congressional District covers the southern coastal part of Maine and is comprised of the following counties:

Knox County
Lincoln County
Sagadahoc County
Most of Kennebec County, including:

- Gardiner
- Hallowell
- Manchester
- Monmouth

- Sidney
- Unity Township
- Vienna

- Windsor
- Winthrop

The First Congressional District has been ably represented by Democrat Tom Allen for the past ten years. He is running for the US Senate seat currently held by Republican Susan Collins.
